The ARBC is pleased to announce that it will be starting its election process for the 2011 – 2012 Board. The
ARBC would like to encourage everyone to participate in the election
process by running for a Board position and/or casting a vote for a
candidate. The following is how you can become involved in the election process.
1. The first step in the process is that you become a member in good standing with the ARBC. This will require that you go the website www.abitaboosterclub.com and complete a membership application. Additionally, you will have to pay the $25.00 dues for your family unit. A family unit consists of husband, wife, single parent and all children under the age of 17 residing at your address.
2. Once you are a member in good standing, you are now eligible to nominate someone (including yourself) for a Board position, run for the Board, and vote in the upcoming election.
3. To nominate someone for the Board, you must turn in your nominations, in writing, at the June Board meeting currently scheduled for June 29, 2011 at 7:30 p.m. The elected positions are as follows:
a. President; b. Vice President; c. Executive Secretary; d. Recording Secretary; e. Treasurer; f. Sergeant of Arms; g. Two (2) At-Large Board Members.
4. At the July 27, 2011 Board meeting, the candidates for each position will be disseminated.
5. At the August 31, 2011 Board meeting, the election will take place. Each family unit will receive one vote.
