Adult Activity Center at Abita Gym located at 22519 Hwy. 36  

In addition to the program fee, participants will be required to pay a $25.00 out of district fee if they do not reside within the boundaries of Recreation District #11.  This is a yearly fee assessed once a year from July 1, 2021 - June 30, 2022.

Soothing Stretch Yoga class is a slow paced, chair-based practice of soothing stretches to loosen muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation while boosting your mood and reducing stress and joint strain. Yoga poses are modified so they can be done while seated in a chair to make yoga accessible and all-inclusive no matter your experience level or physical condition. Please join us for mindful stillness and warm up movements that will energize the body and help you enjoy the rest of the day with openness and ease. We supply various props such as chairs, blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to achieve comfort and support. All are welcome to this body affirming yoga class that makes poses accessible to all shapes and body sizes, no yoga experience or flexibility needed. This class is offered on Saturday mornings, see class schedule for dates.

Strength Building Yoga class is a gentle paced, mat based practice that concentrates on connecting the breath with strength building, weight bearing (through the knees or wrists) movements. For those that are new to yoga or who are interested in a gentle practice, please join us for some graceful movements and gentle beginner yoga poses. We supply various props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to explore alignment, strength and balance. All are welcome to this body affirming yoga class that makes poses accessible to all shapes and body sizes, no yoga experience or flexibility needed, options are available for all levels. This class is offered on Saturday in the early afternoon, see class schedule for dates.

Well Being Yoga class is a slow paced, mat based practice with stretches that are held for longer periods of time. Offered in the middle of the week, this class is an excellent time to reconnect, reflect and tune into your own well-being with slow and gentle yoga movements that are all inclusive no matter your experience level or physical condition. We supply various props such as blankets, bolsters, blocks and straps to achieve comfort and support. All are welcome to this body affirming yoga class that makes poses accessible to all shapes and body sizes, no yoga experience or flexibility needed. This class is offered on Wednesday evenings, see class schedule for dates.

Open Gym: Monday - Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm  

     - bring your own basketball
       - under 14 needs parental supervision
